What do you do while waiting for the rivers to drop after last weeks rain? .....Go fishing of course!
I ventured out to an OP stream I know that hosts decent returns of wild coho. It's still a little early for them in this system, but I was impressed with the numbers of fish I spotted. They were very spooky in the clear water, but I managed to twitch a few out of a couple holes, including one that followed my jig well over thirty feet before it inhaled it right below my perch on a rock ledge! Watching this was very cool.

I landed two that were around 6 - 7 pounds apiece, and one crimson hooknose buck that was around 12 - 13. Here are a couple of quick photos.
