Snow on the Hoh

I ran across some old family fishing photos and found this one very interesting. Its a picture of my Uncle Ken McArthur, with a couple of small salmon caught out of a rental rowboat from the Pt. Defiance boathouse. I thought that some of you who fish down there might appreciate this one. Grin

That is a cool pic Brian, thanks for sharing it.  I have a black & white  picture of Eddie Bauer taken in front of his sporting goods store in downtown Seatlle in 1926.  In the picture with him are 12 steelhead that he (or they) caught;  the river is not named.  Sure makes you wonder about the good old days...........

Ive often wondered what fishing was like back in the day. That's a great pic Brian.

I think that the Point Defiance is still renting those exact boats! Wink  Grin

Brian,

That's a classic shot for sure. Wouldn't want to get stuck in a tide rip or swirler though !

There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Afro
