During the holiday weekend most rivers get a lot more pressure and I know every guy would like to be on the river when they can but could it be a good thing that many of the rivers our out of shape for the weekend??

Depends on how high they go. It sounds like most will peak later this evening and drop fairly steadily into tomorrow afternoon, but then more rain is on the way... Judging by the extended forecast we could be teetering on the "blowout" borderline through next week. Warm temperatures aren't doing much for water clarity, either.  Tongue

Guess it's time to whip out the 700 cfs special and some #5 silvers.  Grin

The high water is always a good way to deter pressure from our rivers, but you have to also keep in mind there will be a lot of "new rod gifts" on the water. No matter the conditions it always seems that lots of folks with christmas presents hit the water the few days after christmas. Like andrew said if the clarity sucks pull out some flashy hardware or some bait and hit the water!
