I never know what to get my dad for Christmas. He's not really a "tie" kind of guy, and students like me don't have the money to get anything of actual value... it's a tough one.  laugh

I always arrive at something fishing-related, but I've typically just run down to Joe's and picked whatever up. I decided to get ambitious this year and tie him some jigs instead of actually buying anything.

I only did 5 "winter" and 5 "summer" patterns, but tying that many jigs at once reminded me why I look forward to being rich and having others tie my jigs when I don't feel like it. BTW Mark, I really like the way these feathers move.

The verdict on blue jigs came in too late to get any in this batch. Maybe next time. Realistically, with the number of times the poor guy actually gets to fish each year, this will be, in fact, an entire year's supply. Hopefully this will be his year to finally bring a steel to the bank.  Grin

Every Dad should have a son who ties jigs for a X-Mas present.   Cool

Nice looking stuff.

Andrew,

Nothing beats a gift that comes from the head, heart and hands for X-mas, I'm sure he'll be stoked. ( Now how about twisting up some spinners to go with them ?!)

Hey Andrew,

If your dad ever gets tired of you tying jigs for him you can come and be my son for awhile. Grin
