I needed to get out today, so I grabbed a shorty rod and reel, and thought I might at least find some searun cutts on a little crick I fish occasionally when everything is out.  They really like the pink worm.   Grin  Well, my crick was basically out too, so the finding was poor.  I did get a chance to fish a few holes, and stumble around in the woods a bit.  Maybe in a couple of days our local stream will be to fishable levels, I hope it doesn't rain any more!! Wink

No shame in getting out and giving it a try Chumdog! Looks like a nice little area.

Jonnyhook and I spent some time today looking for far-away water that might not be blown, but we were also unsuccessful.  But, since today was his birthday we were out and giving it a try anyway!

Gotta respect the will to get out and explore when it seems there's nowhere worth fishing. It's too bad this trip didn't produce anything, but maybe the next one will. Guys that put in the tough time on the water are the ones that get into mint bright 18# nate bucks when everybody else is home crying about the rain.  Wink

Looks pretty dang brushy, though... I might have had to go for the extreme short stick: my Popeil Pocket Fisherman.  laugh

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.
