Got out yesterday with Fllyfishy for a little Cold winter Steelheading.
We went two for four, had a few of those bobber downs that there just wasn't any thing there, and you cast again and no bobber down, so my guess is the fish excaped the hook.

Here's the Summer run buck Drifterat wouldn't take a picture of the day before.

The release for another chance next time.

And one at the end of the day just before dark.

There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Afro

It was a good time, pretty cold though.  True winter steelheading with snow on the way over, and lots of ice.  We are getting better and better with more time on the water.

It was good to see you guys on the water! We ended up going 4-7.

This fish was jig caught in the Drifterat/FJ money slot. Funny thing about the money slot...all the fish we've hooked in that spot the float went down in the same exact spot every time. Cool

Here's a shot of the fish I landed.

Nice fish FJ.  Glad to also see you guys down there.  Too bad we did not get into more fish like you guys.  We are still learning the river.  It gets better each trip.

I would not argue with that.  You guys seem to pull them out of there.
