I thought this might be fun!!!  Smiley  I would have to say that my favorite way to catch Salmon and steelhead in the rivers is free-drifting eggs.To me there is nothing better than feeling the initial bite then setting the hook.It is not always the most productive, but it is my favorite.....What do you all think?

If you would have chosen anything else, FE, I'd have been shocked.... In all the years that I've run into you I've never seen anything other than a tiny piece of lead and some of those gorgeous eggs of yours.....  I too, have to second the drift fishing.  Love that tap, tap, tap...

It may surprise some of you, but my favorite technique has become swinging some bent metal. Even more so than float fishing. I love seeing the float disappear, but the savage strike of a spoon in mid swing is just too much!

I actually caught my first silver this year drifting lead and eggs and my first king on the Hump with bobber and eggs so I really don't have a favorite YET!!!
So I would have to say a downrigger trolling 2.3 to 2.5 mph  Grin

I love tossing spinners. In my opinion, laugh a very versatile fire and forget type weapon. My goal this year is to toss more spoons, and eventually hook up!

I would say driftfishing is my most commonly used method for steelhead and my favorite. For salmon I love to fish with jigs. Bass dropshotting, crappie bobber and jig, bluegill bait, sturgeon bait, searun cuthroat flyfish dries, squawfish grubs, shad drfting jigs, bottom fish jigs, catfish bait, on and on and on.

Spoon, spinner, float / jig and traditional drifting. Pretty much in that order but I always find myself wishing I could find more time and circumstances to get the Okie drifting !
