What an articulate argument Stan! clap If you continue to think with a closed mind, you will not learn a thing. Instead you are here, defending yourself on a pro C&R site. Judging by your last post, you are going to find it extremely difficult to come up with a valid explanation as to why you needed to kill that fish. There is an upside to all this. Although you may lack an education in WA steelhead, you still have your sense of humor! laugh

I consider myself to be open minded Stan. Feel free to explain and provide anecdotal evidence to support your theory on killing wild steelhead, and not affecting the population. Im not above hearing your side, but Im not buying the square hooks, and carrot theory. laugh I would suggest looking for a pat on the back elsewhere, Im sure you know where we stand by now. There are other sites that also share your views, and I implore you to seek shelter there.

Ive got to admit Im somewhere in the middle, I personaly have never killed a native steelhead, but I understand that it seems crazy to put something back that could end up in a gill net and it would be OK for the netter to kill and send it to the market.  It does seem that the pure CNR guys (again I have never killed a native and never will) are so quick to give up there rights that its part of the problem, as long as the fishermen bicker back and forth things will never change....Now as for your attitude, your not much of a man in my book, sure we all talk crap and like to give each other a hard time......DJ

Stan, feel free to share all you want, however if your looking for a pat on the back then I suggest you look elsewhere. There are many more sites out there that can do that for you. I was reluctant to re-open this thread because it would head this direction and I am pretty sure it will disappear in the near future.

You have your opinion, I have mine.  I'm not changing you, you're not changing me.  Let's just get along.

It's not your opinion I'm hoping to change! Grin

Enough said, ............this thread is locked!
