purple and blue are best colours, wake the fish up alot more than pink and red. Dont just need yarn tails, switch to marabou or rabbit fur. I find the bunny hair has this really enticing whippy action.  Hope u catch a fat one  belly

Great tutorial.  I can't wait to try this out.  Think I'll also try a few with soft plastic eggs too.  Thanks for the info guys !

I like the soft eggs also and I have been trying yarn balls lately too.  Cool

Are your yarn balls anything similar to the "Fifi" ?  I've been thinking of tying some "Fifi's" and targeting some Dollies [c&r, of course] late this coming winter.

Actually the yarn balls I use are called pom poms that I pick up from any craft store. I singe the ball a little and it gives the ball a realistic tinge on it that the fishes love!

Has anyone found anything new bout this lil trick?  like new combos and stuff??

Sure, here is a tip.  When using dark yarn or marabou wrap it tightly with silver tinsel then slide the beads up.  It makes a much brighter more attractive bait.
