I think Daredevle's post about his worm setup was excellent....I would add only one tip:

If you ever want to weight  either end of a worm so that end will sink and stay down....simply insert a small nail or two into the worm.  This is an old bass fishing secret I learned a while back.  I'll admit I'm splitting hairs a bit here...but if you dont have the time to do up your sinker weights the way Daredevle did, then just try some small nails inserted into the end of the worm.
