Lets do another summer run jig swap.   Six places available.   My set of jigs will be donated to the May photo contest winner.     Be sure to include a self address stamped envelope to recieve your group of jigs.   I do want to make one rule, only one nightmare or all black jig can be made.  So break out the dark blues, purples, burgendy, reds etc.

I have some really cool new patterns which have lead to 10+ days for Cuttstosteelies and I.  I'll be making one of them.  Pictures to follow.

I will participate Eric.  I will be tying up a Crayfish jig imitation.

Count me in.

Haven't participated in one yet, have to start some where.  Won't be able to do much summer run fishin' this year so I better get my fix where I can.  Hopefully this doesn't make the itch even worse.
Now I have to go through my repertoire of 'Dinger Jigs', and decide which one to use.

Ok, here is mine.  Simple yet very effective.  Black powder coated head, baked for extra hardness, magenta schlappen.

I am making a spider hackle bug.  Batteries are dead on the camera so a picture will follow.

Here is what its made from:

about 15 natural brown hackle tails.  these feathers have a lot of variation in them from white to dark brown.
Metalic copper chennel
and a collar of about 20 pumpkin metalic flake rubber legs

Cutts and I fished these about 12-18" under a bobber late last summer and would watch fish rise to take them.   it was a sight so see.   in one weekend we brought 18 to the bank and lost 6 or so and probably missed 10-12 takes.   It was the best steelheading i have ever experienced.
