It'd be kind of cool to get an armada of drifboats together sometime in late Dec. for a shot at some bogie brats in the company of fellow notebookers.  Not here to organize the whole event, but just curious at who'd be interested.  I've noticed that in the past, get togethers often dwindle from 20 confirmed emphatic "I'll be there's!" to "Can't go, my dog's got surgery" or something to that effect.  Regardless.  Who thinks they could swing it?  Oh yeah, I got dibs on the first open seat Grin

I got dibs on the second seat... that is if I would be able to make it. Nothing better than ridding the Bogie of its retarded, small, hatchery doinkers.

Make it the first two weeks of December and you'll be fishing over three times as many fish if the conditions are good...those fish get earlier and earlier every year...between Thanksgiving and Dec. 7 is probably the biggest push of fresh fish...not that there still aren't plenty around into January.

Fish on...

JDF: as you may know, my "boat" consists of 3 styrofoam coolers bungeed together. Two are already taken by me and Vault. You're welcome to the 3rd, so long as Joe or Todd doesn't want it. Actually, Joe and Todd could just give me 15 bucks each for 2 extra coolers and bungees, and we could all do the float together. I think it would go really well. I bet Todd could get some good laughs from cuttie's boat by telling them what he's been saying all day.

Or maybe I'll just sell all my gear now.

AD the WB...just strap those bungeed coolers onto the ol' MPV and cast out the window as you drift along...merrily, merrily, merrily, like is but a dream.

If you really want to enjoy your day floating for hatchery bananas on the Bunkasheel, do it on Nov. 30...that's when the annual SRC will be held.  Wear a helmet, a kevlar vest, and eye protection...

Fish on...

Interesting idea cutts! I would be interested in a flotilla of sorts, however the Bogey may be more of a zoo than I care to deal with. However, if you put in at Wilson Rd. launch and float to Leyendeckers you can sometimes avoid all the crowd by the hatchery. If someone wants to try and set this up I'll try to attend depending on the date chosen..

I may have an open seat if Dardevle, chumdog, bugnuts, Fish, Fllyfishy or Codfather don't want to go. Grin
