Where is all the summer porn at? Nobody seems like they've been getting out lately.

I Fished a couple different rivers the other day with a good buddy of mine and went a combined 1/7... don't ask.  Lips Sealed

The worst of it came when I finally got a good set on a high teens chromer. The hook was perfectly pinned right in the snout and couldn't have been hooked any better. All hell would soon break loose.

The fish made a straight shot for my feet. I frantically reeled and was capable of keeping up. The fish then made a hard 180 degree turn downstream shooting for the rapids. With only 10 lb test for the brawling high water, I was ready for the soon to be marathon and followed in hot pursuit. Initially, I managed to keep the fish under control, that is until I lost balance on one of the massive boulders.

In a split second decision, I tossed the rod in the water next to me to avoid breaking it and to brace myself for the fall against the other boulder I was about to fall on. I heard a large pop from my wrist and I hit my head on the boulder. Out I went for what could have only been a few seconds at most.

I woke up dazed and confused and saw the rod next to me shoot across the top of the water and head downstream. I scurried to my feet in an earnest attempt to catch up and get my rod back. By that time, it was out too far in the current.

Being that I was already soaked, into the brawling river I went. I wanted my rod back, along with revenge for the fish that caused me so much grief. I was able to catch up and barely grab the bottom end of the rod. I swam back to shore and was finally back on 2 feet. I applied some pressure to the rod... and miraculously the fish was still there.

As I reeled I felt my right hand begin to throb. I loosened grip on the reel handle to alleviate the pressure on my hand, which was now the size of 2 hands.

The fish made another blistering run before finding a dagger of a rock protruding from the middle of the river. Bye Bye big chrome fish.

We gave it another few hours of honest effort before calling it quits. We had each hooked another fish and managed to loose both. To say the day was frustrating would be an understatement, but it was still a great time.

Here is the only fish we managed to get. A dandy little 5-6lb summer run that gave me a good little scrap and will give me a delicious dinner for fathers day.

I dont know Tom I worked harder saturday for a fish than I have worked in a few month. Lots of work for a floating float, I prefer them sunk.
