Well as i promised here we go. For me personally i use wool as a plain bait and as an extra attractant. When using it as straight wool i utilize a shank knot instead of the bait loop, in cinches the wool at the head of the hook, causing it flair out and look like an egg. I love the colour pink, its the steelhead go to, mixed with either, white, orange, red, or another shade of pink. I have all the confidence in the colour, whether i dye my roe that colour, or use pink worms, and spin'nglows. Yarn is a great alternative for low water systuations, its a bait that doesn't spook fish, and can be enhanced in a bunch of different ways. By adding scent, jensen eggs, gooey bobs, roe, roe bags. U add to the attractivness of the yarn. I am a very comitted believer in adding yarn to most of my presentations, other than my pink worms and spin'n glows i use it in all my baits, roe, ghostshrimp, etc... So here we go with the photos, any questions? just ask.

Blood red and chartruese are my go to colours for low water, they have shined in the past.

My classic riggings, white, cerise, pink and red.

Gooey bobs and yarn, a highwater and pocket water classic.

jensen eggs and wool, good bait for those times when u know there is a fish in a run and u haven't hooked him, kind of a back up bait. Takes alot of finesse but will ultimately pay off big.

storage closet.

confidence in a select few colours, the only one missing is the flame egg orange

For when i get bored and dont wanna use my scissors and cut and rig it all up.

When the fish take a little bit of coaxing, use this, i put one squirt on and u can still smell it in the yarn after about 1/2 an hour, u dont need to re apply!. I've left my rig in my hook ring on my rod and could still smell it when i went out again the next morning.

Just for good luck carry a few of these in your vest.

Once again, any questions just ask!

no those are the standard size, all my leaders are cut long at 24 inches and then with water conditions they get shortened. That box is actually half full, i've put up to 43 leaders in it before, but the bigger 1/0's u see there take up alot of room, when stuffing it with #4's, 2's and 1's u get alot more hooks in it.

I absolutly hate pips with a passion!  I was on the river one day, broke off so I pulled out one of 25 leaders or so.  It turned into the biggest mess.  The only leader I ended up salvaging was the one I pulled out, the rest were history.

Pips dispenser don't work for me either.  However, I do like that yarn [wool] dispenser.  Does your wool come from Montana, Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand sheep ?   laugh

When I'm not fishing with hardware, soft plastics are my favorite drift gear !

if your using those wool ties in clear water, you might as well go down to a smaller hook instead of just using a smaller bait  Roll Eyes
