Greg nice work on the videos.  Just a couple of suggestions for you.

1. It appears that you are using Zonker strips for palmering.  You might want to try using crosscut strips for palmering, and zonker strips for tails or matuka style streamers.

2.  Ask santa for a good pair of flytying sissors.  They are very sharp, and have tiny tips for getting in close to the hook shank.

Here is a link to a photo tutorial I put together a couple years ago.

Basic Bunny Fur Jig

Keep tying, you will get better after ever jig/fly you tie.

They are cross cut rabbit fur... Either that or regular strips

Another great video, Greg.  I just got some Rvrfshr jig hooks in the mail the other day.  I plan to tie some combo feather and fur carrot jigs sometime in the near future.  Wish me luck !  If they turn out OK, I'll take a pic or two and post them on the Notebook.

What kind of hooks are those, you looked at the Rvrstickers yet? That 60 degree bend has ultimate penetration and holding ability.

Looks good Greg.

I prefer zonker strips over cross cut but I dont think it matters either way.

I think they are gamis... Actually I read the email and they are EC.. I was re-assured they are strong enough and they have held up so far.. No complaints...

I really wanna get some of the Sickles... Those hooks are sharp and deadly.

I'm with BC on this one, the zonkers give a way bigger body, sparser but the hairs stand up higher and bigger.
