Sweet deal man, though I agree with Rossieman.  A pair of new sharp scissors would do you good.  Have you tried putting little barbells in the middle to add a little weight, even a little lead wrap would do the trick.

No criticism, just a suggestion. You may want to try setting your camera up on the other side. You know, so the viewers see this process as through your own eyes while tying. Just a thought.
