Not worth it to me... as much as I would like to get out.

Hopefully next week!

We have accumulated about a foot of snow over the week up here in B'ham.  It's coming down right now.  Roads aren't good since it hasn't been  above 28 degrees in a week.  Yesterday morning it was 8 degrees here.

There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Afro

Vancouver BC in the city we have about  8-9 inches of snow, and 50km winds, temps are around -20 'C including wind chill. I tried to go out this morning, walked over 1 hour to the river cus the buses are down, so i get to the river, and wat do i find, that there is a 10ft gap in the middle with 4ft of ice sticking out from either bank. It took just over 1/2 and hour for my guides to freeze solid, and all of 10 minutes for my roe to freeze INSIDE my jacket. So i ended up throwing jigs, which froze from spot to spot, so i had to replaced the jig after every run. My conclusion, even if i did manage to detect a bite from the half frozen fish, they would have faught like a wet (chrome) sock!  Grin

BRING GLOVES, TOUQUE, 3 PAIRS OF SOCKS, and if u still have neoprenes i suggest them!  laugh

About 3 inches in Fox Island.and about 5-6 inches on South Hill Puyallup.I would love to be on a river somewhere but don't really want to drive far.I am driving my daughter to do some shopping and just playing/shoveling in the snow. No real wind to speak of here in Puyallup and pretty calm out on the island also. Be safe out there!Starting to snow lightly as I type.Beautiful out and Meridian has hardly any traffic on it(that is a miracle) laugh

Let it snow..... let it snow.... let it snow..................... Cool

"Only" about 8-10" of compact snow & ice since Friday here on the hill above Lake Stevens. Side roads treacherous but driveable.

Driving down Hwy 9 yesterday, I glanced east toward my favorite spot and wished I was there. Then, the radio said it was 18F with 40 mph winds (windchill about -2F) at 1:30 PM. Somehow, that crick lost its appeal really fast. Need about 1000 cfs more flow before it'll get promising.

So, even though that river needs some water, it'll prob'ly be coming all at once when this stuff starts to melt...whenever that will be (April?)

Good to see you back on the Board, BMAC. Now, go rest and watch the Jets go down. Roll Eyes

probably have a foot here in olympia, and it's snowing more now!  only bad thing is that it's not the stuff you want to play in, it was all nice and powdery until last night when we got a bunch of freezing rain on top of it.  it's my day off and i'm just sitting here watching it fall...

Lots of these... I must say, they are a ton of fun to catch and the bucks are fantastic table fare.

I wish a little of this snow was rain to bring the rivers back up. Am going anyway next week. Just need to get out and wet a line.
