fluffy, bright and wiggly - should work just fine Wink
Might want to subdue the colors and profile on some jigs as well for low and clear conditions
it's nice to have a mix.
Have fun with it, there's no set rules, I've caught fish on some dang ugly jigs and been skunked on the most elaborate, time consuming creations.
Don't waste your time putting pink worms on the jigs though, that will never work canada

not too bad for just starting out.  Ilike the last photo.  Keep at it and your skills will improve.

I was just joking shaker, pink worms (even green ones ) are great for jigs - and easy!

Good luck and keep at it, good way to be creative.

Not bad at all.  You should have seen my first few, they looked pretty good until they fell apart on the river.  Sad  For the tails though, try only using the tips of the marabough feather, about 3/4" past the bend of the hook.  The tips are what gives the jig its action.  Wink

not bad at all for your first try. hell if you saw some of my first jigs, they didn't look that good.
i like the second one down and the 4th one down. the big profile of the yarn and the paddle, that is a dandy right there. { i like big baits for nates  Wink }   i have some new paddles tails that will be on the market today that are a little more suited for worm jigs then the spanky . shoot me your address and i will send you some to try.

i see you have some jigheads  from  oregon tackle{ i think that is what those are}. just make sure they have a good quality hook becasue if you hook a nice fish and you loose it because of the hook you will be pissed.  my buddy tied up some jigs on crappy { not crappie hooks , just crappy hooks  laugh } hooks and had his best day ever on the salmon this year. he hooked 17 fish  and only banked 4 because he kept bending the hook.

good job on the jigs, keep it up. i hope to see some pictures of a fish caught on one  in the near future.

At least your first tied jigs resemble jigs, my first attempts surely did not. I think your on to something with that candy cane body in the second photo.

P.S. Any one reading, make sure to point out the spelling, grammatical, or other found errors in peoples responses. We all know how drastic it would be if a member got away with such gross mistakes. It is good to see that people are taking the time to find things to complain about.

OK boys...I should've done this in reverse order, but it's the equivalent of a "moment of silence".  Brian has left us so silence for a bit is called for.   great
