Nobody fishes "Rags" anymore ?
I do... almost exclusively!
I have been fishing them for years, and can count on one hand how many corkies I have tossed for winter steelies on one hand since I made the switch.
Other names for the "rag": "slob", "bomb", and my personal favorite, "sloth". One time on a river, this old timer hit me up at the take out.... "What you got on there son?", I reply, "A rag and shrimp". Then came his retort, "Oh, you mean ole' sloth, me and my buddy were the ones who started that thing out here way back in 63'"... and on and on, you know the routine. Super nice guy... funny as hell!
