It gets coho, chum, and steelhead, so I am told. I have witnessed the first two, but the wild steelhead I have only heard of, and have been told they are mostly small fish. I bet it gets some pinks too... the Dosewallips was packed with them two years ago. I have only flyfished it for cutts and bows in the summer though. Pretty water, real confined up top with some natural anadromous fish passage barriers.

~Mike~ There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

By the sounds of it, you really are trying to protect the resource. Thanks, I think I'll take my six weight down there in March.

Just let me know when you are heading down there Juan D. Bag... I'll show you all my favorite fishing holes, you can stay in my cabin, hell you can even drink my best single malt 20 year old scotch. Go get your six weight out JDB... you won't do any damage anyway, you have to catch fish in order to kill them.
oooooooops didnts mean to hurt anyones feelings aha its not like i was catching EVERYTHING and killing it all it was me just practicing and showing my woman how to fly fish ha no foul play i do protect the species JDB ha you can come down and stay on my 24 acers that's riverfront haha and fish all you want!

Sounds like you guys are above the law and totally have it under control. Never mind the ethics and morals either. I'm now convinced that you guys have more of a pulse on the Duckabush salmonid populations than WDFW and ONP combined. It must be that "local" knowledge that is absorbed from having a streamside cabin fully stocked with scotch. Glad to hear you guys have a cabin on such an awesome fishery, I'm totally jealous. If I had an opportunity like that then maybe I would actually catch a steelhead. It is well known that I don't catch steelhead, and having an opportunity like a day at your cabin would surely help my catch record. Do you guys spot the fish on the circles in the gravel before casting to them? Or do you count the 6" smolts as steelhead, since they would probably become anadromous anyhow? When would be a good day for me to come out? Can I bring my camera?

Well that explains a lot JDB, I am very sorry for your total lack of skill or luck. Why don't you head down there tomorrow... meet at the pull-off of 101 on Doucheabag Rd. at O'Dark thirty. If I am late, just start fishing... and make sure to say hi to anyone driving a tan F-150 with a gold star on the side. Bring your camera and whatever else you can fit in your purse. [removed for your veiwing pleasure]

STFU? What does this mean?
The gold truck with the star on the side, are you referring to the one Officer Miller of WDFW drives? I believe the Duck is in his jurisdiction.

Miller???.... try Flowers or Sgt. Henry, or what's his name, young guy, super nice till he's busting someone... or maybe Alexander. Doesn't really matter who, just ask for a copy of the regs.

God dam.....June 1st is only a few more months away, cant you guys get your trout fix in at a lake. The Duck is closed for a reason, and that chart Andrew just put up is a solid explanation.
