Though I have many more memories to share with my pa, the best ones Ive had so far have all usually been in the woods hunting with him. Quite a few events have happend that normally are once in a lifetime.
This last year we were hunting together in Idaho and I was the hunter and he was the caller you could say(he'd shot a buck a day or two before).  We were sitting up on top of a heavily timbered ridge, the kind where I could only see maybe 30yds maybe.  Hes calling and I catch movement at the bottom of a thick gut.  A 3pt buck then showed himself at quite a distance for where we were sitting.  He kept calling and the buck just kept on a comin.  He was a little small for me to shoot so we thought we would have some fun with him.  To make a long story short minutes felt like hours and the buck ended up coming in so close, not only could we hear him breathing through his nose but I could have poked him with my gun barrrel.  It makes it crazy because usually your scent can be detected up to 100s of yds away and their eye sight is amazing.  Definitly something that I'll remember my whole life.
