...and so it begins.  I lost a hot 6 lber on a fly last Thursday.  Last night I got five 1 1/2 - 2 lbers.  Finally landed an adult fish tonight using a buzz bomb while walking the beach in flip flops.  Summer time fishing rocks.

Great catch SciGuy. Not quite the Coho you got last year from a boat, but probably better eating. I can't wait until the season opens in area 9 on the 16th.

Yes, it does.  Too bad I'm moving to PA a week from today...and no, not Port Angeles.  I'm totally bummed.  Guess I'm going to have to figure out how to catch walleye and crap like that.

you'll spend a bunch of time trying to catch a walleye, finally hook a big one and be completely disappointed by the fight, wondering "why does anyone even bother with these things?"  that is, until you fry it up in beer batter, then you'll start to understand why those ugly brown fish become an obsession.

I'm looking at the PA gig as a 2 year sabbatical...very well could be longer though if the Seattle biotech scene doesn't recover soon.  I'll return at some point, it is only a matter of when.  I've been fishing like a mad man the past month.  I'll even have to carry on my fly rod for my flight to PA b/c I'll be fishing the whole time the movers are packing up the house.  I wonder if the airline with hassle me about carrying on stinky wet waders and boots!
