Been a fishy summer to say the least. With high expectations for salmon in the salt I was chomping at the bit in June. My friend and I decided to hit the small creeks and a couple alpine lakes for some feisty trout and the most unexpected largemouths!

Big brookies were the name of the game:



Same spot revealed some quality bass:


With only days left in June we even managed to find an early river ho:


However, when chinook season hit it was off to the races for some salt action. Still haven't made time for summer steel :wink:
Lets just say limits are the norm.


And the hatchery fish have been PIGS! Here's one at 28.5lbs:


Still a little time left for a hike or two:



What a great place we live in. Can somebody pinch me?

what was the elevation you caught that bass at? was it a fairly high lake? just curious.
