I tried the Ed egg technique and free drifted fresh red pro glo eggs with very little weight right past fresh pods of coho and NO takers.  I was amazed but there finicky coho so what can you expect.  Only to have my bud nymph a trout bead on a 6wt targeting egg eating bows and cutts and land a plump chrome ho. lol

Jake,
When it come to free drifting eggs,The quality of the egg and the presentation make all the difference in the world. Wink It just takes time.......I have been fishing some pretty low water conditions lately and have been stroking them on my chosen technique. Nothing better then feeling the bite, setting the hook, and watching the water boil. Grin I love Fall........

Always good to see Bret getting to land a fish or two! Can't wait to get on that river. I like the idea of the B2s if we ever get some rain to dirty things up a bit.

Even on his "fun fishing" days it's hard to get him off the sticks so he can fish for a while...but a few coho like that will keep him in the front of the boat!

Fish on...

Todd

When you go to apply the prism tape or decals be sure to do as shown in the photo, apply to the concave side of the blade. Look at it this way, fish do not normally hit the spinner from the front, they follow and hit from behind. Having the tape/decal on the outside of the blade would not be seen by the fish, having it on the back side it is visible to the fish showing a contrast between the blade colour and the tape/decal. A lot of times the fish are not interested in the colour, its the contrast between the 2 colours or background. If you want a real eye opener find a copy of a book called "What Fish See" and give it a read.

Joe and Todd have them at some retailers around the sound... anyone know which stores?  I know the former Sportsman's Warehouse in Fed Way has them.  I'm sure someone can chime in.

There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Afro
