This is how dardevle goes about silver plating his brass spoons.

Use a metal cleaner, such as Brasso, to remove all dirt, oil and oxidation from the brass part to be plated.


Attach the alligator clip from the plating unit to the brass


Dip the other lead from the plating unit into the silver plate solution...


and paint the solution onto the brass part to be plated, covering thoroughly.


When finished the brass part will look like this.


Rinse in clean water and buff dry with a cotton towel...


and it will look like this!


Here is a comparison of the original brass spoon and the same spoon finished with this silver plating process!



I love the matte finish this process creates and know for a fact that these spoons catch steelhead! great If you have any questions about the equipment or chemicals used for this process please contact dardevle on this forum.
