What a Wild Gorge

Jig-n-bob and i went down to our local spot again and the water was starting to color up just a little, but with low confidence I managed to pull this guy out of the same hole right after Jig-n-Bob bonked his bright 8lb hen in the bottom of the pic. Without that fish it would have been a bad day. On the way out, we hit that hole again and I couldnt get my float off its side....I thought i saw a twig on my line about a foot or so above my float. I pulled it in to check, and it was the top 4 inches of my rod. It will give me some more motivation to make it down to lamiglas to get the other 2 top halfs ive been meaning to get.

Too bad about the rod, I've been on a breaking rod streak myself  Nice fish, that helps make you feel a bit better I'm sure!  |

Here is the steelhead thats laying next to steelyDrew. It was the hardest fighting hatch. steely I've ever hooked! 8lbs. And the tastiest! Got some sweet video. Wish I could post it. |
