Not a big fan of 15 min. battles with fish, but that is pretty amazing...tough spot to hook/land one for sure. Funny thing is, that scenery looks awfully familiar to me.  |

Lots of work to loose that one!  I wish my buddies would come run with me (camera in hand) every time I hook a fish. Guess this guy must be a much nicer guy than myself, or maybe he just has better friends. |

I once wasted 14 minutes and 35 seconds of my life watching those "ultimate battle" clips only to never actually see the fish that was pulling him down river like a tow truck.
Kinda funny watching those guys try to navigate around that stump. I'm sure it was fun for them and I enjoy seeing other fisherman get a kick out of another guy's fight. What it's all about really.
Just wish I could've seen what was giving that guy so much trouble.

I saw a lot of running down river to try to gain some line on that fish. Funny thing is i didn't see much reeling during those runs. I kept fast fowarding this expecting to see something a bit more exciting. I am sure they had fun though and will remember this one for a long time.

Thats what I was thinking. I was watching that the whole time thinking "man, lay the wood to that thing already would ya!?" I wasn't there so can't really pass judgement. Personally, I would have tried to muscle the thing a bit before chasing it a half mile downstream. |

that thing shouldn't have left the tailout of the first run, it sulked in there for a while. Rod goes downstream, tip in the water, and turn that sucker, you should never ever need that much distance for a fish.
