Just a Nice Day

I got a late start and went down to a close river and what a beautiful day full of wildlife. Elks tracks as big as horse shoes coverd the sandy parts of the river bars, first pitch in the water hooked a beefy looking 13ish native rainbow, and 3 more to follow in about an hour until I thought I had hooked a fish alot bigger. After the aggressive fist 7 seconds it came in like a wet sock and I saw it was a white fish, I pulled it to the bank and saw my hook all the way inside his tiny mouth and stupid me pulled out the pliers instead of cutting my leader and by the time i was was done with surgery there was blood everywhere. I let him go just to see him float back in the shallow water lifeless when 2 bald eagles came within 10 feet of my head and grabbed the fish.....wow! Got back to fishing and hooked an 18inch native jack.
