Nice looking frame NWR,especially I like the six pac holder on the standing platform, awesome idea ,so you can grab a beer from any location on the boat Cant wait to see her all set up. Keep us posted on the upgrading, iam always looking for new ideas.

B!tchin frame. Minimalist, light weight, couple questions though. What are you going to do about rear storage or storage in general? Side bags? Rear deck?
I've been researching and salivating over getting one of these things for over a year now. I was thinking I would also incorporate rod holders on one side of the frame laying down along side one of the pontoons. Want to get the 10ft pontoons simply because I don't want a rod hanging out over the front or back edge of the boat and get broken when I eventually bump into something.

It's a great looking set up. Looking forward to the trip report when you get it out. Grizz, I think you'd be better off putting your rods in a PVC tube. That way you not only prevent breaking them by bumping into something, but also for all the other ingenious ways you've broken them

Yeah, yeah so I have a penchant for breaking rods lately. I like the PVC idea but I'd want to be able to access the rods very quickly when changing presentations. A PVC tube seems like it would be cumbersome. I guess one could cut it in half and fix some hinges to it so it opened like a chest.

With your recent luck, and grace, maybe you should hollow out a pool floatie and stick your rod in that

just a dry bag and gear bag strapped to side rails, rope bin under seat and for the rods gonna use the a cut piece of pvc to lay them in. Rod holder will be front side rail next on the buy list is some 8' oars

Can't wait to see what the finished product will look like.

just a thought for ya on the rod holder,if your gonna mount it on the frame, might be in the way while rowing (trying to pull plugs) I mounted one on my sons standing platform, front left side & used the base mount, then rod extension, then rod holder, works great for him & its totally out of the way & easy to grab the rod, here is the items I used.
