What does cleaning a reel mean anyways?

It's the new "in" thing, I'm just trying to jump on the train as it's rolling full steam.  Some of these guys I've found searching the net, you'd swear they spend more time cleaning and tricking out their reels than they do fishing.  I try to give my reels a rudimentary cleaning at least every 2 years whether they need it or not... Tough to find, my favorite reel lubricant is dyna Glide Fishing Line Rod & Reel. An excellent all around lubricate. It comes in a 7 oz. aerosol can. Made locally, Renton WA.
