~Mike~ There are a few kinds of steelhead fishing; fly, float, drift, spoon, spinner, plugs, boondoggin, bobberdoggin,.... and then there is float fishing in 18\" of water. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

All the birthday steelhead came last Thu-Sun...yesterday I caught some sushi for lunch, and dinner with the lady at The Met last night, along with a nice bottle of wine Thanks, everyone! Fish on... Todd

Todd, Do you slice off little thin strips of steelhead when you filet them and eat the strips as sushi? Is this what you are suggesting in your post? I never tried sushi before, but the first time i fileted a fish I ate some of it raw. It was just as repulsive as I expected. Happy Birthday Eric

Nah...went out for real sushi for lunch That being said...a nice May or June summer run makes excellent sashimi, to my tastes, at least...you can't really make a winter run taste like much except what you put on it, so I would pass on making sashimi out of it! Fish on... Todd
