Jeepers you sure didn't tell us much about the day of fishing. I could go for a little more description than that it was amazing. What was amazing about it? The weather? The scenery? The good company you had along with?  Don't have to tell people everything you know(then they might know more than you! Wink). Why bother to mention your awesome day? Describe it or keep it to yourself. By the way. I had a rad time fishing the other night. It was amazing! Grin

sorry.  we hit it late after i got home from school. my friend picked me up at 3 on the river at 4pm. we saw lots of fish rolling down near the mouth.  we hooked up to our first fish about a mile from lewis street.  a huge steelhead that would easily go 20+ we thought it was a king. got to the boat and it ran again  and came unglued. so my friend and i decide to head to the mouth of the sky not saying the hole Lips Sealed. thats where we found the fish. 10 minutes after arriving i hook up. small jack about 5lbs. released it. then half hour goes by nothing so we start packin up when my friends rod that he put in the rod holder stars bouncin. i look at mine and its bouncin. first double of the year. land mine and my friends fish broke off. mine was a native so i cut it loose. that was the end of the action for the mouth. so outta despiration we bomb up past the lewis street bridge and up to the king hole as we call it. it was 5:45 the so we floated back to the launch. picked up 4 dollies and release 2 steelhead. all on bait.

Sounds pretty epic. Thanks for telling us about it.  Grin My day of fishing was awesome on stump lake. Stump lake is near devils lake north dakota. I caught 5 fish and had two come off. I was fishing near the future outlet near Tolna, ND. Sadly it was for Pike and walleyes and not steelhead. One actually jumped out of the water! This is only the second time I have had a pike or a walleye do that. I think it was the biggest walleye that I have ever hooked and I wasn't expecting a jump and it came off the hook in mid air  Cry. Oh well.

Walleye put up more of a fight, but pike just sort of play dead until you get them pretty close,  then they go bezerk and thrash around a ton. When they jump out of the water it is when they are only a few feet in front of you and going bezerk. You get a good look at them cause their so close. Yeah, it's pretty funny to see, but it doesnt happen often.
