again, one of those weird laws differentiating bait and lures.  i think it falls more into an honesty thing -- i have a hard time believing a game warden is going to go after someone bobber fishing with a sinker against his bait when half the other guys are snagging in a place where those rules are in effect.

Never really been into the bait weights for some reason. Ive always had a theory that the bait would not flush around and swirl through the water column as natural as it would without artificial weight.The times Ive fished bait under a float I would either add a couple small splitshot or no weight at all. However, I suppose jigs would toss my theory out the window as theres a hunk of lead molded onto the hook and look how effective jigs fish.  Undecided
