I am new here and thought I would introduce myself.  My name is Chad and I fish mostly in Oregon for steelhead, salmon and trout.  The Alsea and Siuslaw are my home Rivers right now but I do a lot of fishing all over Oregon and northern California.  I am planning on making a few trips up to Washington to do some fishing with my brother in law and look forward to learning more about the rivers in your guys area!  My favorite technique is float fishing and love to use small micro jigs as well as little pink worms and bait.  Yarn balls have become another favorite of mine after a few trips with guides were they out produces bait.  I would have never thought that would happen but after getting out-fished a few times on a stupid yarn ball you start to re think your position.  Cheesy

I own a small lure company that allows for me to get out at least once a week to fish.  Amazing how you get into the fishing industry so you can fish more but end up just working harder than you ever have and not fish at all.   laugh  Looks a great group of fisherman here and I look forward to getting involved.

Welcome, Chad. although we have some beautiful rivers in this state the numbers of fish just are not what they used to be and when the stars do align and the fishing is good , there is more often than not, extreme over crowding.  from what i hear and know i think the grass my be greener on your side of the fence. welcome again and what ever your decision, GOOD LUCK.

I do feel lucky to be where I am and its nice to be away from the bigger cities.  I live about an hour away from arguably one of the best steelhead fisheries on the west coast in the Umpqua River!  Big, beautiful native steelhead and lots of them.  Most of the time you will see maybe 5 or 6 boats in a section of river so its not to crowded.  The nice thing about Washington is the amount of rivers in such close proximity, probably makes it nice to find rivers that are fishing no matter what the conditions.

Welcome, I bought a few of your jigs last year. I haven't really tossed jigs as much as I wanted to, but they do look good.

Welcome to the board!  I've perused through your page numerous times and appreciate all that you have to offer.  I'm slowly becoming a believer in yarn balls as well.  Welcome again....

Welcome to the Notebook.  I think you'll fit in very nicely here with this crowd.  Have enjoyed following you on PP and look forward to the same here.

That yarn looks very similar to Glo Bug yarn as far as being fat and fluffy.

Please do show us your balls... your yarn balls that is!
