Also, for all of you members seeing the adipose fin on these,remember this is from the east coast where all the steelhead look like that. Shocked

This river is about 90% wild and there is a club that hatches some fry from eggs they collect and lets them go in the beautiful spring fed trout streams that feed it.  It's a good size and speed of water, anybody from the west would like it right away.

This is not the heavily stocked water on the other side of the lake, I work hard for my fish.



Could not wrap my hand around this fishes tail today...just smashed a rag in gin clear water.

I did not realise it was illegal to take a wild fish out of the water in Washington State.  Makes me rethink the whole practice of doing just that.  The day I caught those the river was high enough that I wasn't about to step in it.  Landing a fish meant dragging it through a flooded tangle of grass and willows.
