Went out steelheading today with my brother and my dad. It was a blast. I got to watch my dad land several ocean-fresh fish. Me and my brother managed to hook a few too. Hope you had a merry christmas and are getting out on the water. I was fishing over spots that I knew had some fish in them today, and could not get any reaction with the float gear. After thoroughly pounding the run, I came back with the ol' eggs and lead and found satisfying results. Sometimes it pays to show the fish something different. Got a new camera for christmas  Smiley so here are a few pics:

Nicely done Eric! Sometimes,eggs are the ticket. Even I have to admit, I fish eggs for winter runs less and less all the time and jigs,spoons,and worms more and more. Wink

I did a little post xmas fishing too, and landed my first wild steelhead this winter.  Smiley
