Love those Rosy Cheeks

I was tying up some drift fishing leaders tonight for a side drifting trip I hope to take with a friend soon. I was having a bit of a time because of the dim conditions of the lighting and backdrop. The old eyes ain't what they used to be. I turned on another light which helped some. Finally I held up my hands in front of the computer screen and I could see the line, hook, and knot perfectly (well, nearly so) against the backdrop of the lighted screen.

It worked so well I typed in a nondescript URL and got a "page not found" message. This provided a great white background for the rest of my tying. Got 'er done in short order.

Dave stop being so stubborn, go get some glasses  laugh  I finally did and now I can see again, the first sign of trouble was when you can't read the menu in the low light conditions of the restaurant, then you can't tie just a plain Egg Loop, Don't be affraid step into the light  Wink

Well Dave

The girls at the eye doctor talked me into buying these glasses they call Transitions and I hate them, every time you move your head you have to re focus, if they ever ask just say NO. Stay with the Bi and Tri focals

A lighted magnifier is a lot cheaper than a 19" View Sonic.   Wink

Good point, Nick. Wink Actually, I have one but I was too lazy to set it up for tying a dozen egg loops. The comp screen was already there. But whether you use the magni-tyer or not, you still do much better with a bright white background.

John, my wife tried the transitions too. She gave up on them after she ran our then new Durango up onto the curb in an attempt to parallel park. Cool idea for glasses (no lines to look around) but lousy execution. Grin
