There is not a question in my mind that layering clothes under lightweight waders keeps us way warmer than those old neoprenes did way back when. I remember float-tubing eastside lakes in the fall and freezing my arsh off...now I can wade much colder streams on the OP in the winter all day long and never think twice about it. And zonker is right...there is a science to it. I like to have skin-tight breathable fabrics close to my body and lots of fleece/waterproof stuff as a shell. Dang I can't wait for winter steelhead.
